Kasab to appeal death sentence in Supreme Court
MUMBAI – Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab, convicted in the 26/11 Mumbai attack, will appeal in the Supreme Court against the death sentence awarded to him, his lawyer said here Wednesday.
The Mumbai High Court had on Monday confirmed the sentence awarded to him in May 2010 by Special Judge M.L. Tahaliyani.

Orissa anxiously awaits arrival of hostages at home

Orissa hostage crisis: Maoist gets bail as talks continue (Third lead)
BHUBANESWAR – A Maoist was granted bail by a local court in Orissa Tuesday as state authorities continued their efforts to secure release of a district collector and an engineer kidnapped by Maoists last week, officials said.
