Pakistani official dies in suicide attack

PESHAWAR – A senior police official was killed in a suicide attack in this Pakistani city, a media report said Monday.

Geo TV reported that Deputy Superintendent of Police Rashid Khan was killed in the suicide attack that took place in Garhi Qamardin area of Peshawar.

Two Maoists arrested, weapons recovered

RANCHI – Two Maoist rebels were arrested Sunday from two places in Jharkhand and seven weapons were seized from them, police said.

Suimanji, an area commander of the banned Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), was arrested from Daltanganj railway station of Palamau district and three carbines, two pistols and live cartridges were seized from him.
