US embassy bombings: Ex-Guantanamo detainee gets life term (Second Lead)

NEW YORK – A US judge Tuesday sentenced former Guantanamo detainee Ahmed Ghailani to life in prison for his role in the bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

RANCHI – Maoists blasted a school building and hoisted black flags in Jharkhand’s Palamau districts during Republic Day Wednesday, police sources said.

Russia to mourn Wednesday for airport blast victims
