Court accepts plea by Sadhvi Pragya’s aide

NEW DELHI – Accepting a plea of Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh’s associate Ananth Brahmachari about being “harassed” by investigators, the Delhi High Court Monday issued a notice to the centre, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Delhi Police Commissioner B.K. Gupta.

15 killed in Pakistan bus blast

ISLAMABAD – Fifteen people were killed and 11 injured Monday in a huge explosion in a passenger bus in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. A police official said the blast was caused as the CNG fuel tank burst after an accident.

The blast took place in Kohat town in the bus that was coming from Hangu.

10 die in Pakistan blast

ISLAMABAD – Ten bus passengers were killed Monday in a massive explosion triggered by a suicide bomber in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The blast tore through the bus on Hangu Road in Kohat, Geo News quoted police sources as saying.
The vehicle was coming from Hangu when the explosion took place, leaving several passengers injured.

Roadside bombs kill 17 Afghan civilians

KABUL – Three roadside bomb attacks killed 17 civilians, including children, in Afghanistan, officials said Sunday.

Eight civilians killed in Afghanistan

KABUL – Two separate roadside bomb attacks have killed eight civilians in southern Afghanistan, officials said Sunday.

One bomb went off in the southern province of Helmand Saturday, striking a civilian minibus carrying nine people, killing six civilians and injuring three others, a statement issued by the governor’s office said.
