Cuba raps Facebook, YouTube
HAVANA – Cuba has denounced online social network Facebook and Google-owned video sharing network YouTube for closing its account and censoring video links from the two websites.
YouTube censored the video channel of the Cuban official site Cubadebate and closed it for “alleged violation of copyright”, xinhua reported quoting Cubadebate.

Peru bans smoking in public buildings
Lima, Jan 16 (IANS/EFE) Peru has banned smoking in all public buildings, according to a decree published in the official gazette.
The executive order, which was signed by President Alan Garcia, toughens previous restrictions on smokers and increases penalties for offenders.

Birthday girl Mayawati announces Rs.4,000-crore projects
LUCKNOW – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati announced some 600 new projects and welfare schemes worth Rs.4,000 crore on her 55th birthday Saturday.
