Seven Bangladeshis abducted in Afghanistan

KABUL – Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped seven Bangladeshi construction workers in a northern Afghanistan province, an official said Sunday.

“Eight people, including seven Bangladesh nationals and an Afghan guard, were kidnapped in Balkh province on Saturday night,” Xinhua quoted interior ministry spokesman Zamarai Bashari as saying.

Suicide bombers kill five Afghan soldiers in Kabul

KABUL – Five Afghan soldiers were killed and nine injured when two suicide bombers attacked an army vehicle in Kabul Sunday, the interior ministry said.

Suicide attackers hit Afghan army base

KUNDUZ – Suicide bombers attacked an army recruiting base in northern Afghanistan early Sunday, causing at least 10 casualties, police said.
