Kashmir blast: Injured girl dies in hospital
SRINAGAR – An eight-year-old girl, critically injured in a grenade blast in south Kashmir Sunday, died in hospital here Monday, police said.
Arifa, who had received multiple splinter injuries in the powerful blast at Bijbehara in Anantnag district, succumbed to her injuries in the Soura medical institute, a police spokesman said.

ISLAMABAD – At least five suspected militants were killed Monday in a US drone attack in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

Suspected Maoists kill two CPI-M supporters
KOLKATA – Suspected Maoists gunned down two supporters of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district, police said Monday.
“We were informed that two bodies of CPI-M supporters were found in Dhangori village of Jhargram sub-division Monday morning,” said Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Mukesh Kumar.
