Security up on Chhattisgarh-Orissa border
RAIPUR – Chhattisgarh has heightened security along with Orissa’s border following reports that Maoists were ordering the locals to join the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
Extra forces have been rushed to Mahasamund and Raipur districts, a senior official at police headquarters told IANS.

Pakistani-origin terror suspect freed in Canada

NEW YORK – The UN Security Council decided Wednesday to extend the mandate of NATO-led military forces in Afghanistan another 12 months so they can continue work on strengthening Afghan security.
