Court rejects Lalit Modi’s plea to stay BCCI action
MUMBAI – The Bombay High Court Thursday rejected suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi’s plea to stay the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) disciplinary proceedings against him.

NEW DELHI – The Supreme Court Thursday dismissed a petition seeking initiation of contempt of court proceedings against Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal for criticising judicial functioning in 1995.
