One killed, 10 injured in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR – One person was killed and 10 injured when a speeding truck rammed into a shop on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar Friday, police said.

The accident occurred at Khandagiri Chowk.

Two women killed in Punjab accident

HOSHIARPUR – Two women, including one who is resident in Britain, were killed when their car collided with a speeding truck in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur town Friday, police said.

The Indian-origin woman who lives in Britain came to Punjab to attend a family function, a police official said in Hoshiarpur, around 100 km from Chandigarh.

Fire at ITO, seven rescued

NEW DELHI – Fire broke out on the fourth floor of a building near I.P. Bhavan at ITO in central Delhi, a fire official said Friday. Seven people have been rescued so far.
