Three killed in West Bengal accident

KOLKATA – Three people were killed when a bus overturned on Grand Trunk Road in West Bengal’s Hooghly district early Friday, police said.

Fifteen others were injured when the bus, bound for Patharpratima in South 24 Parganas district, met with the accident at Mogra as the driver lost control of the vehicle.

9,000 tonnes of iron ore seized in Orissa

BHUBANESWAR – More than 9,000 tonnes of iron ore were seized in Orissa’s Mayurbhanj district in a crackdown on illegal mining, officials said Friday.

Bareilly now has only night curfew

BAREILLY – Day curfew was Friday lifted in Uttar Pradesh’s riot-hit Bareilly district but it will be clamped at night, the authorities said Friday.
