Punjab jail inmate commits suicide, probe on

SANGRUR – An inmate of the Sangrur district jail committed suicide by hanging himself from the grills of the window of his barrack, police said Thursday.

Kamaljit, who killed himself Wednesday night, was accused of killing his father over a property dispute and was arrested Dec 13. He was in his late 30s.
