Policeman killed in Quetta blast

ISLAMABAD – One policeman was killed and three injured in a blast in Pakistan’s Quetta city Friday, a media report said.

The Dawn reported that the bomb was planted on a bicycle and was detonated when a police van was passing through Qambrani road of the Balochistan capital city.

Blast in Pakistan school

ISLAMABAD – Two students were injured Friday in a blast in a Peshawar school, a media report said.

A classroom of the New Modern Collegiate School was damaged in the blast, Xinhua reported citing Express TV.

Anarchists claim responsibility for Rome bombings

ROME – An Italian anarchist group has claimed responsibility for two parcel bombings that targeted the Swiss and Chilean embassies in Rome Thursday, the Italian news agency Ansa reported.

A statement to that effect was recovered from a small box found next to one of the two embassy workers who were injured in the explosions.
